The soap is composed of permethrin. The soap is prescribed to patients suffering from scabies and pediculosis. In pediculosis, there is infestation of lice in hairy parts of the body usually scalp. Mostly this occurs in children. The soap is also prescribed to patients suffering from scabies which is a skin infection caused by mites and is communicable and spreads by physical contact. The itching, irritation associated with these conditions is relieved by use of this soap which kills away the parasites hence eliminating the symptoms.

The soap is only for external use and is to be used on prescription of your doctor. It is to be used as long you’re advised by your doctor to stop. The soap should be used in the affected area, in a circular motion until it lathers properly then leave it for a while and then it should be washed away with water.
